Nope, I agree with you. Maybe not better than the pre-facelifted Gallardo, but definitely better than the Hurrican

Gallardo was a boon for VW. It's the best-selling model Lamborghini has ever produced. The Cala is pretty to be sure, but I wouldn't say opportunities were missed.

I love the cala, but its definitly of its time, the Gallardo and Hurican are of its times as well.

I like the Cala, but I don't think it's aged particularly well; I think the Gallardo did far, far better from a commercial standpoint than the Cala would have.
I dig the Huracan, though, much more than other two.

It looks globular and not in a good way. The Gallardo looks much better and it will age better as well.

I've never seen it anywhere, but it wouldn't surprise me if yellow jackets were actually the inspiration. The eyes/headlights, and the scoops look like the base of a folded wing.

The original Gallardo was a little bland, yes.
However, their updates throughout its life have made it much, much better.
